Giant Birds Hunted Humans

A new computer scan brought researchers into the world of the Haast's Eagle. A fossil scan of the eagle which went extinct only 500 years ago. The bird lived in Mountainus New Zealand and wieghed 40 pounds. The scan revealed it was no scavanger as once thought to be. The Haast's Eagle which is much larger than todays eagle would hunt on flight less birds and even an unfortunate human. Scientist did a cat scan of several skulls, pelvis, beaks in order to reproduce the exact size og the eyes, brain and other features. After comparing it to modern scavenging birds it was in fact a predator which ate moa birds and humans.
Scientist say it went extinct because of habitat destruction and polynesian settlers made hunted its prey to extinction. 750 years ago in New Zealand before humans colonies the Moa and Hasst were the largest animals on the Island. The scientist now say the mythology of the native Maori people have some truth to them. The tales tell of a large bird Pouaki could swoop down on children and attack people. Jamie R Wood a researcher of the Moa said that the expirement supports the rapid growth and evolution of the Haast's Eagle. That it may be the fastest example of evolution possible.

The Human Genome

National Geographic Society and IBM teamed up together to find the journey of Human beings and find where it all started. The project was called The Genographic Project they went to the 30th Street Festival of July 2008. Walking around getting cheek swabs from the gums in there mouth. They focus on the Y chromosome passed down through everyman ever born, the Mitochondial Dna that was passed down from women. They found that 200,000 years ago we Started in East Africa. We were born from "Cavemen" slowly and uncertainly evolving into Homosapien. Homosapien is the Latin name (Genus) of humans, it means wise man. We were complex while life was basic live and reproduce. However there is only one tiny chromosone that depicts the sex of a person.

During the festival 193 people were swabbed and found that they represent the major migrations across the globe. The only lineage missing was the oldest which was found in a Khoisan hunter gatherer in South Africa. Which about 100,000 years ago diverged from modern humans. Many unmixed cultures are rare most populations like queens have been mixing DNA for centuries. Most race in the future will disapear with all DNA reproducing and with overpopulation. Some many people reproduce with people from different races that the Y chromosome will reproduce with more and more just like it. Earasing race, color and most physical differences.

Beat Purcell

Many people probally don't realize why Purcell is our rivals, it's not coincidence we did'nt pick there name out of a hat. It all started a long time ago in a land down the street where Holy Trinity used to be. Where Cavaliers and Indians played kickball on the play ground together. Not realizing that soon a fued would spark. Most people are still good friends but they refuse to watch there team lose to their friends team. It was no longer just a game it was about beating there friends team.
Growing up I went to Holy Trinity I thought I was going to go to St. Xavier for high school. Instead I moved to Florida came back and went to Norwood. Since then I have actually seen the rivalry and I think about why but I figured it out. Mostly because people grew up together at the same school and then split up. So now your friends are on the other side so now your new friends are with you and against them. The parents are even in on it see while living in Norwood I realize most adults no each other often threw Holy Trinity. Now kids have split up and theres always trash talking.
A person I happen to know when asked she said "Because they are kinda close to each other, there like the same size there both diverse and Purcell is just awsome Norwood wishes they were like them" That is my friend (cousin) Sidny Henges who if you cant tell goes to Purcell. If you have a problem tell her at the game. Yet suprissingly she brings up a good point that we are similar perhaps its just a fair game. If you havent gone Its usualy a fantastic game and its good to see people I know on both teams fighting it out.
So why exactly, well it's mostly because Purcell and Norwood socially interact. I know people that go to Purcell and they know people at Norwood Its a big circle. Of good old fashion rivalary.
